The fishing season is fast approaching us with Chinook (King) salmon season opening April 5th and Rockcod & Lingcod opening May 1st
Last year's salmon season was pretty good for us and we hope for as good or better season this year.
Our biggest fish went over 40 pounds (36 pounds gilled & gutted) and our best score was limits for everyone plus limits for the crew and skipper.
We saw a lot of big fish early in the 2007 season then a lot of smaller Chinook later on in the Summer. The smaller sized Chinook should be running about 10+ pounds this year so I anticipate a lot of good action. Also in 2007 we caught and released a very high number of Coho salmon. Coho are still considered endangered and must be released unharmed whenever possible.
